The Rune above is Berkano, signifying birth. I’ve been reading the Runes (Elder Futhark) for years, both for myself and friends. This is a new beginning: offering to read for the public.
A wee bit of Runic history: the letters themselves come from the alphabets of several Germanic languages, used prior to the introduction of the Latin alphabet by the Catholic Church as it Christianized northern Europe. How and why they became a tool for magic is unknown but magical-seeming inscriptions on artifacts date back to the 2nd century CE. And the Hávamál (a group of poems in the Elder or Poetic Edda) recounts spells uttered by Odin. As a tool for divination, there is no definitive source pointing to this use in antiquity, so it may be a relatively new concept. Old or new, it works.
Runes and Tarot are similar in that they offer guidance. Where I’ve seen a difference: Runes don’t go into quite as much depth as Tarot, forcing you to ponder and figure things out for yourself a little more. (Sometimes this isn’t a bad thing. Self-reliance and all that.) Another difference: in Tarot, the querent (usually) handles the cards, putting their own energy into the reading. With Runes, they are personal to the caster, so the caster asks the question(s) for the querent. (I made mine and they are blooded. They may not be the prettiest but they work so much better than the mass-produced set I initially purchased.)
If you’re interested in getting a Rune Reading, continue on:
One Question Reading – US$15.00
This is a 3-rune spread to answer one question, perhaps “what do I need to do to accomplish X?”. The spread may be past-present-future; nature of the problem-cause-solution; or whichever I believe will give you the best answer. You’ll receive a pdf report via email. Note: Please include your question in the comment section of Paypal’s payment form. And if the email address you use for Paypal isn’t the one you want your report sent to, include that, as well.
Full Casting – US$30.00
This is a full cast of all 24 runes. Those that fall upright are interpreted, as well as their relative location to each other. It is meant for something more complicated than a simple question. It could be something like, “What will the next year hold for me?”; or the answer to multiple questions. You’ll receive a pdf report via email. Note: Please include your question(s)/issue in the comment section of Paypal’s payment form. If it’s too complicated, or longer than that comment section allows, send me an email at dj[at]authordjmartin[dot]com. And if the email address you use for Paypal isn’t the one you want your report sent to, include that, as well.
I am generally able to get readings done within 24 hours but sometimes life intervenes and it could take two or three days. I will let you know if there will be a delay.
I look forward to reading for you!
